U.S. Embassy Inaugurates Live “Webchats” on Student Visas

U.S. Embassy consular officers and other embassy officials will be available for a live webchat to answer students’ visa questions

A live “webchat” for the high school and university students in Oman about student visas will be held by the U.S. Embassy at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Vice Consul Christian Cardona and other embassy officials will be available online to answer questions from the public in real-time. 

Students across Oman can log in to https://statedept.connectsolutions.com/oman starting at 10:00a.m.on Sunday, February 26, 2012 to have their questions answered. 

This event marks the beginning of a monthly series of webchats on the important issue of applying for visas to study in the U.S.  “We are delighted to see so many students in Oman visit our Consular Section to apply for visas for study in the states,” said Vice Consul Cardona.  “These new online discussions are an excellent way for students to get the latest and most reliable information as they prepare their applications.  We hope many students will take advantage of this great opportunity.”
