An Evening of Jazz on The Rhythm Road

Exegesis is visiting Oman through a special program of the U.S. Department of State:  The Rhythm Road – American Music Abroad, produced in partnership with New York's Jazz at Lincoln Center.  While in the region, the band will also visit Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, and the UAE.

Exegesis is David Cook (Piano), Michael Blanco (Bass), Nick Demopoulos (Guitar), and Tomas Fujiwara (Drums).  Separately and as an ensemble, they have played Carnegie Hall and on Broadway, worked with a wide variety of stars and jazz legends, and traveled the world to spread awareness of jazz as one of the great American contributions to world music.  Composers, educators, and all-around innovators, the musicians of Exegesis draw on jazz traditions – works by Billy Strayhorn, John Coltrane, and Cole Porter, for example – to create very contemporary sounds.
