American Corners

U.S. Ambassador to Oman Gary A. Grappo donates books to the American Corner at the Modern College of Business and Science in Muscat.

American Corners are partnerships between the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy and Omani host institutions. U.S. Embassy Muscat maintains six Corners in Oman at the following locations: Muscat, Rustaq, Buraimi, Sohar, and Salalah. The purpose of an American Corner is to provide accurate and authoritative information about the United States to the general public in Oman. Users can find information about American history and culture, or how to study in the U.S., or how to do business with American companies. Most importantly, the Corners provide a convenient location for Americans and Omanis to share ideas and learn about each other’s society and values. In addition to Oman, there are over 350 American Corners worldwide (more)
