In the afternoon, the Ambassador visited the Buraimi University College, host of one of six American Corners in the Sultanate. The American Corner at Buraimi University College has served as the basis for cooperation with the Embassy since it opened in 2004.  After a reception by Sheikh Ahmed bin Naser Al-Na’aimi, Chairman and President of the College Council, and Sheikh Salim Al-Azzani, college board member and Managing Director of Al-Na’aimi Group, the Ambassador presented a collection of books and learning material to enhance the library’s collection.  Afterward, the Ambassador met with students to talk about his experiences and to answer their questions about the U.S. Embassy and America.  That evening, the Ambassador hosted a coffee for American citizens resident in Al Buraimi.  The event, attended by several American professionals and their families, gave the Embassy a good opportunity to connect with local American citizens.
