U.S. Embassy honors E-Teacher Scholarship Program participants (January 8, 2012)
The U.S. Embassy in Muscat recognized ten Omani alumni and new participants in its E-Teachers Scholarship program at a ceremony on January 7. This new initiative provides English teaching professionals living outside of the United States the opportunity to take one of seven innovative, online, graduate-level courses offered by the University of Maryland, and the University of Oregon.

U.S. Embassy and Ministry of Education Host Workshops for English Teachers in Ibri, Salalah and Muscat (December 26, 2011)
An English Language Specialist Program hosted by the U.S. Embassy and the Ministry of Education concluded last week in Muscat, finishing two one-week workshops in Ibri and Salalah. Dr. Spencer Salas, English Language Specialist and a lecturer at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, conducted workshops for secondary school teachers in Ibri and Salalah, as well as a one-morning session for students and teachers at Sultan Qaboos University during his visit to Oman from December 10 to 21, 2011.
